GIRARD, Kan. — Girard will have a new outdoor warning siren following a discussion at Monday’s regular meeting at Girard City Hall. At the meeting, the proposal from Girard Fire Department Fire Chief Jeffrey Turner was presented to the mayor and the city council. “With the insurance, the city has obtained in putting in a new storm siren instead of rebuilding the original one we have here,” he said.
