PITTSBURG, Kan. — Pittsburg Fire Department Chief Taylor Cerne will serve the community as Battalion Chief, a hands-on operational role, according to the City of Pittsburg. Until a permanent replacement is found, he will also be Interim Fire Chief. “Second to my family, the Fire Department is really near and dear to my heart,” Cerne said in a news release.
