PITTSBURG, Kan. — It’s a busy time for the alumni of Girard High School, planning events for this year’s Girard Homecoming and Fall Festival, which take place Friday and Saturday, Oct. 17-18. The annual celebration returns to Trojan Country on Oct. 17 with a homecoming game against Prairie View. Prior to the game, the Class of 1965 is holding a tailgate at Eastside Cafe from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Another tailgate is taking place on the north side of the football field with food available for purchase from the Girard Booster Club and all alumni and fans are welcome.
