PITTSBURG, Kan. — On Aug. 14, Governor Laura Kelly celebrated the statewide expansion of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library program. The celebration came after the announcement last month that every child in Kansas is now eligible to participate in the program to receive one free, high-quality, age-appropriate book per month until their fifth birthday. In addition, from birth to age five, kids can read as many as 60 books.
