PITTSBURG, Kan. — Local members of the Daughters of the American Revolution spent Monday morning delivering cookies to first responders at the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office and the Pittsburg police and fire departments. “This is our second year delivering cookies to first responders on Valentine’s Day,” Mary Gilpin of Pittsburg’s Oceanus Hopkins DAR chapter said in an email. “It is a thank you to the First Responders that keep us safe.” The cookies, according to Gilpin, are a mix of home-made and store-bought and were donated by members of the DAR.
