Crawford County receives funds for bridge project

GIRARD, Kan. — Announced on Thursday in Dodge City by Governor Laura Kelly and Kansas Transportation Secretary Calvin Reed, 35 local and off-system bridge projects across the state have received a combined total of $42.3 million. The money is coming from a combination of federal and state dollars and is going to the Kansas Department of Transportation’s (KDOT) Off-System Bridge Program and the Kansas Local Bridge Improvement Program. Combined with matching funds from the awarded cities and counties, the total project value is nearly $48.8 million.
