GIRARD, Kan. — Representatives from NextEra Energy Transmission (NEET) met Friday with county commissioners about the construction of a new electrical power line that will stretch across Crawford County. The commissioners had questions about the construction process and road use in the county. In 2021, NEET was awarded a contract to build a 94-mile-long transmission line from Wolf Creek, in Kansas, to Blackberry, Missouri.
