GIRARD, Kan. — For some time, the Crawford County commissioners have been looking for a better option to track and record employee working hours. One option they have considered is the system used by the sheriff’s department, so the commissioners invited Undersheriff Scott Tyrell to their meeting Friday to explain the system the department has been using since 2019. According to Tyrell, office employees within the department can clock in and out on a computer terminal located in the office.
