GIRARD, Kan. –– With litter along the highways and backed up plumbing at the jail, it was just one of those days for county commissioners on Tuesday. The commission invited representatives from the GFL Oak Grove landfill in Arcadia, KDOT, and CARDS Recycling in an effort to reconcile the littering issue along Crawford County roads. No representative from CARDS was present, although Commissioner Tom Moody had reached out to CARDS Division Manager Mark Purvis to appear.
