PITTSBURG, Kan. — Pittsburg State representatives Ed McKechnie and Wes Streeter and Chamber of Commerce President Blake Beson appeared before the City Commission regarding an infrastructure request on seven acres of campus where three new buildings are slated to begin construction in the coming weeks. The concern is water run-off and pooling near the future site of the KBI facility, which is scheduled to break ground in September. To resolve the issue requires additional drainage pipe to carry water away from the site to a new retention pond to handle stormwater runoff.
