PITTSBURG, Kan. –– Sheena Kosman’s decision to open a daycare in her own home caused a bit of a firestorm in recent weeks. Kosman’s residence has been subjected to numerous state inspections, and she completed her licensing process in October of 2024, allowing her to care for up to 10 children. Currently working as an occupational therapist, Kosman said she wants to transition into a home-based childcare so that she can be at home to raise her own three children.
