PITTSBURG, Kan. — Pittsburg Police Department experienced an increase in calls for service last week compared to the previous week. From Aug. 18 to 24, police responded to 321 calls for service, a 15 percent increase from the week prior. The department also conducted 84 traffic stops, engaged in 162 officer self-initiated activities, made 18 arrests and took 57 reports.
