PITTSBURG, Kan. — Last week, the Pittsburg Police Department and the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office dealt with an increase in calls for service. From Sept. 8 to 14, Pittsburg Police officers responded to 347 calls for service, an 18 percent increase from the previous week. Officers also conducted 98 traffic stops, engaged in 201 officer self-initiated activities, made 10 arrest and took 63 reports.
