PITTSBURG, Kan. — For the second year in a row, the Pittsburg Area Chamber of Commerce is teaming with The Civic Trust of the United States Chamber of Commerce Foundation to present a civics competition for area sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students. The deadline to submit is Tuesday, Feb. 4. Middle schoolers from across Crawford County are invited to participate in the regional, statewide, and nationwide “Civics Bee” competition, which is designed to encourage young Americans to engage in civics and contribute to their communities.
