PITTSBURG, Kan. — Music has been known to be helpful to people for a number of different reasons, such as reducing stress and exercising your brain. At the end of July, residents of Parsons, Zachariah Cook and Chad Palmer, will be using music as a way to help an 8-year-old child, Alaric Hirschenhofer, by hosting a charity benefit concert called Artists for Alaric on Friday, July 29 at the Dirty Mule in Pittsburg. Cook has been a longtime friend of the Hirschenhofer family, and has seen the financial struggle they have gone through trying to make ends meet while caring for Alaric, who suffers from a variety of serious medical conditions.
