ARMA, Kan. — The Arma City Library was the main topic of discussion at Monday’s Arma City Council meeting with library director Brenda Banks approaching the council to talk about its community garden, approved grants, library programs, and repairs. Banks handed her report to the council, highlighting its programs and achievements, including the “Lapghan Ladies,” a small group making many lap Afghans at the library over the months for people in wheelchairs at area nursing homes. “Those Lapghan Ladies have made 208 lapghans and now they’ve started making walker pockets,” she said.
