Excerpted stories in Crawford County newspaper archives 100 Years Ago Jan. 27-29, 1924 The drug evil in Kansas and other states has made the enforcement of the prohibitory law incidental to narcotic law enforcement, Al. F. Williams, United States District Attorney, asserted in an address at the annual banquet of the Crawford County Bar Association in the Hotel Stilwell. Those violating and nourishing the monster of drugs are contributing to the downfall of thousands of persons each year, he said.
