Excerpted stories in Crawford County newspaper archives 100 Years Ago June 7, 1923 Repair work on Joplin & Pittsburg Railway tracks in the city was ordered by the city commissioners yesterday afternoon. City Attorney C. O. Pingry was instructed to notify the J&P that such work is necessary and must be done soon. Commissioners pointed out that the condition of the right of way on West Fourth Street is especially bad, and that in places on Broadway repair work is needed.
