100 Years Ago Jan. 17, 1923 Pittsburg, recognized by leading bond firms as one of the most stable municipalities financially in Kansas, lived up to her reputation in 1922, according to the annual report of W. L. Baldwin, city auditor, which will be presented to the city commissioners this afternoon. Receipts for the year were $467,263.26 and the total expenditures were $451,985.99 cents or $15,277.27 cents less in all departments of the city government. A score of deputies and special officers were continuing the search last night for nine of 11 prisoners who escaped this morning from the county jail at Tulsa.
