100 Years Ago Feb. 14, 1923 Colen Campbell, a lieutenant in the United States navy, recently returned from a trip around the world, is here visiting his uncle, John Campbell, on his way from San Francisco to Washington, D. C., to visit his parents, Congressman and Mrs. P. P. Campbell. He was formerly a resident of Pittsburg and a Lincoln School student. “In every port, one finds American moving pictures, American jazz, the Ford automobile, the Victor talking machine, the Singer sewing machine and branches of the Standard Oil company,” he said.
