Denzel Davidson never encountered the enemy directly. Serving in the Headquarters Battery of the 31st Anti-Aircraft Brigade as a communications chief, he was responsible for sending and receiving messages. After the war, he worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone until retirement, then volunteered at the Crawford County Historical Museum.
