100 Years Ago Jan. 13, 1923 An express and freight car of the J.& P. railway was overturned and damaged to some extent this morning on the Girard line at a point known as Park Hill, about one mile east of Girard. The cause of the accident was reported to have been a broken axle. The car was on the way to Girard at the time and not heavily loaded.
