More than three times as many calls for each man, woman and child are made in Pittsburg than are made by U.S. inhabitants on average. Recent figures from the Bell telephone company show that the number of calls each day in Pittsburg averages 34,000 -- 12,693,000 in a year or more than 582 calls per person.
