Excerpted stories in Crawford County newspaper archives 100 Years Ago April 5, 1924 Newman's, Pittsburg's newest ladies’ department store, and successor to the Famous, held its first spring fashion show in its home at 5th and Broadway last night. It was witnessed by hundreds of people, mostly women. Seats were lined along the sides of the lower floor, and many witnessed the show from outside.
