Excerpted stories in Crawford County newspaper archives 100 Years Ago April 7, 1923 Following a careful check of petitions asking for a recall election to remove from office four Pittsburg school board members, it was announced yesterday by City Clerk Leonard Boyd that the petitions are not signed by a sufficient number of qualified electors. Mr. Boyd found that with 941 qualified electors necessary there were signatures of only 828, with 353 of the 1,181 signers submitted not qualified to vote. Seth Edwards, Columbus motor car dealer alleged to have had extensive dealings in stolen motor cars, was facing more trouble following his arrest yesterday on federal charges of transporting a stolen motor car from one state to another.
