Excerpted stories in Crawford County newspaper archives 100 Years Ago March 21, 1924 Ku Klux Klan issues entered selection last night of ten delegates to represent Mulberry in the county Democratic convention to be held in Girard next week. John Miller, representing or presented to have the backing of the Klan, and Dr. Herman L. Gees, opposed to the Klan, both of Mulberry, are candidates for delegate at large to the national Democratic convention in New York this summer. Robbers for a short time abandoned their quest of street railway fare boxes and turned their attention to a telephone toll box last night, with the result that an agent of the Bell telephone company in checking long distance tolls this morning found only 70 cents in the box in the Hotel Leland pay station.
