Excerpted stories in Crawford County newspaper archives 100 Years Ago May 31, 1923 Members of local union No. 39, culinary alliance of Pittsburg, formerly employed in many of the local restaurants, are now on strike, and union cards have been taken down by restaurant proprietors. Among the restaurants affected are the Bee Hive, Busy Bee, John Bussey's, the Brown cafe and the Leland hotel.
