Excerpted stories in Crawford County newspaper archives 100 Years Ago March 2, 1923 Deputy Sheriff Frank Turkington left early today for Mount Holly, N.C., to return Claude Robbins on a charge of stealing a motor car belonging to August Sessi, proprietor of a “drive it yourself” garage on North Locust street. Robbins, who lives here, rented the car and did not return it. He is alleged to have left here with a load of liquor in the car, and was arrested in North Carolina with the car and the booze.
