Excerpted stories in Crawford County newspaper archives 100 Years Ago July 22-24, 1923 Ross & Squires, a Topeka firm of architects, were yesterday employed to prepare plans and specifications for one-half of the new stadium to be erected at the Teachers’ College athletic field. The part of the stadium to be built this fall will be on the west side of the field, and will be put up in six sections each 50 feet in length so that seating may be had for fall athletic events. Each of the six tiers will seat 800 persons.
