Excerpted stories in Crawford County newspaper archives 100 years ago September 24, 1925 Disputed provisions of the plumbing ordinance were the subject of a lengthy discussion at last night's meeting of the city commission, with two labor factions participating in a 2-cornered debate. A committee of plumbers presented a petition, containing 246 names remonstrating against a proposal which would require that all sewer and water connections from the street to the property line be made by the city. The petition expressed the belief that "duly licensed plumbers can make the connections in an efficient, workmanlike manner."
