Excerpted stories in Crawford County newspaper archives 100 Years Ago March 3, 1923 Petitions asking for recall of four members of the board of education and removal of John F. Bender, superintendent, are in circulation today according to a member of the committee of citizens investigating charges recently made against J. B. Tucker, former principal of the junior high school. Petitions asking the board to retain Tucker as principal of the school were circulated last week and are said to be signed by more than 500 parents of children in the school.
