Excerpted stories in Crawford County newspaper archives 100 Years Ago July 26, 1924 A double slaying at Columbus last night had as its victims Mrs. Georgia Goodrich, 18, and her 20-year-old divorced husband, Warren Goodrich., both Columbus residents. Goodrich shot his former wife then ended his own life with the same gun, firing five shots. The shooting occurred at the home of Mrs. Goodrich's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Bright, in the east part of Columbus.
