Excerpted stories in Crawford County newspaper archives 100 Years Ago Aug. 23, 1924 The remains of the late John J. Campbell, noted Pittsburg lawyer who drowned in the Thames River in London on Aug. 3, arrived at the Frisco station shortly after 1 o’clock this afternoon. The cremation casket was placed in a beautiful burial casket and from 1 to 4 tomorrow afternoon will rest in the lobby of the new Shrine mosque, the erection of which Mr. Campbell had so much to do. The funeral will be tomorrow at 5 o’clock at Highland Park cemetery.
