William Thomas Darnaby "Bill" Jr, 66 years old, died July 18, 2026, peacefully in his home.

Bill was born in Gravette, AR, on Oct. 30, 1959, to William Sr and Ethel Darnaby.

He was well known in the community as the proud owner of Guaranteed Roofing (1997-2007) when an injury made him leave the business. There are not enough words to describe his character. He was a wonderful man.

He was an excellent pool player, and enjoyed any competitive game playing. He loved to work in his yard, spending time with his dog, Keisha, and spending time with family.

He was a loving and devoted husband to his wife, Denise, and 30 years ago they created their own "Brady Bunch." He was a very proud and loving father to all of his children, who will sadly miss his presence ... Shari Rice, Julie Kingsbury, Melinda Leake, Johnny Thompson, Rocky Harvey, Shaleena Case, LeeAnna Baker, Andrew Price, Jessica Nichols, Ashley Koroush, and Jennifer Markley, with bonus daughters, Lisa Trujillo, and Sara Saker. He was even more blessed with 33 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Family meant everything to this Papa.

He was survived by his siblings Bonita Lee, John Bingham, Debbie Bingham, Tina Burleson, Tammy Pickett, Sherry Wallace, and Rhonda Coffey.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers John and Shane Darnaby, his son-in-law Richard Nichols, sister Connie Spurling, daughter Julie Kingsbury, sons Johnny Thompson, and Rocky Harvey, along with his grandson Johnathan Thompson.

Celebration of Life will be Aug. 15, 2026, at 3 p.m. at The Homer Cole Center in Pittsburg, Ks.
