Loyd Dean Manes, 78, of Pittsburg Kansas passed away on May 2, 2026. He was born Aug. 4, 1947, in Aurora Missouri. He was the son of Fred Manes and Mary Jane (Gibson) Manes.

He went to school in Bolivar, Missouri and graduated from Southeast High School in1965. After graduation Loyd joined the Army from 1965 to 1967.

Loyd was united in marriage to Vickie McClure in 1968 and later divorced. Loyd worked for Dickey Clay Manufactury for 17years, City of Pittsburg for 17 years until retirement in 2012. After retirement, Loyd loved to play Golf every day.

He is survived by life partner and common law wife Janice DeGruson of 40 + years. Daughter Melissa Tash, Sons Matthew Manes, Michael Manes. Step-Son Darrick DeGruson, Step-Daughter Angela (DeGruson) Hill. Sisters Barbara Copeland, Freda Mart.

Loyd was preceded in death by his Parents, Brothers Albert Lee Manes, Orra Ugene Manes and Gene Manes. Per Loyd’s wishes he was cremated.
