Friday afternoon in Immigrant Park, Kaye Lynne Webb recalled what the space looked like decades ago.
The park, with its pavilion, landscaping and sculptures, sits on what was the Frisco railroad line and the Frisco depot -- the spot where thousands of new immigrants unloaded and began their lives in America. But when Webb called artist Gary Lofts about painting a historical mural at the site, the rail line was overgrown and abandoned, leaving a sad gash through the center of town.
