Three veterans honored at PSU

PITTSBURG, Kan. — In a fitting tribute to honor Pearl Harbor Day, two Navy and one Marine veteran were awarded Quilts of Valor on Thursday at the Pittsburg State Veterans’ Memorial. Mike Chapman served 24 years in the military. From 1968 to 1972, Chapman served as a Navy Corpsman, or medic, with the 3rd Marine Division, rising to the rank of hospital mate third class (HM3).
