PITTSBURG, Kan. — At an early morning breakfast, Pittsburg Mayor Chuck Munsell made his first official public appearance since being struck by a falling tree limb in a freak incident at his home a few weeks ago. Wearing a neck brace and still visibly emotional, Munsell thanked his family, friends, and colleagues for supporting him and Karen, his wife of 48 years, for their support and prayers.
