FRONTENAC, Kan. — On Monday, the last piece of Crawford County’s childcare puzzle hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark its opening.
It all began four years ago. Counties across the country were inundated with federal funds in response to the pandemic. Many counties used that money to fix roads, buy equipment, or squirrelled it away for a rainy day.
