PITTSBURG, Kan. — The Pittsburg City Commission voted to approve the purchase of a new firetruck from Conrad Fire Equipment, of Olathe, Kansas, for the price of $945,192.83. The funds for the new truck are to be drawn from the city’s Public Safety Sales Tax that was recently renewed for another 10 years. The new truck, according to Fire Chief Taylor Cerne, will replace older equipment in front-line service.
