PITTSBURG, Kan. — A Pittsburg woman was struck by a vehicle Thursday morning, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP).

The KHP reported that at approximately 9:29 a.m., a pedestrian was walking in the crosswalk across 10th Street at the intersection of 10th and Locust Streets and was hit by a 2021 Chevrolet CDL business truck that was driving east on 10th Street.

The pedestrian, 43-year-old Jessica Nicholson, of Pittsburg, was transported to Mercy Hospital Pittsburg to be treated for suspected minor injuries. The driver, 51-year-old Aaron Ebner of Webb City, Missouri, was not injured. A KHP trooper told the Morning Sun that it was confirmed the driver was not impaired or texting while driving.
