PITTSBURG, Kan. — Although construction has already begun, dignitaries from across Crawford County joined Pastor Donnie Talent and Dr. Linda Heitzman-Powell in a ceremonial ground-breaking of a new autism treatment facility on Friday. The pastor of Victory Life Church, Talent has worked to fill the need for child care services in the area for nearly three years, speaking to anyone who would listen or help. Ultimately, Talent partnered with Heitzman-Powell, Integrated Behavioral Technologies (IBT) founder and executive director, to create Sonshine Childcare and the IBT Autism Clinic at Victory Life Church.
