MULBERRY, Kan. — More than 100 residents and neighbors flocked to Mulberry on Saturday evening for a family fishing derby at the City Park. Sponsored by the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks, the derby was the idea of Connor Ossowsky, a department biologist located in Pittsburg. “This is meant to get kids outside and away from screens,” Ossowsky said.
