PITTSBURG, Kan. — Multiple schools within Crawford County were placed on lockdown Wednesday afternoon following a threat to a local elementary school. According to a statement provided by USD 250 through the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office’s page, Meadowlark Elementary received an anonymous phone call around 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday which had been threatening in nature. Following the call, Meadowlark Elementary was placed in full lockdown as authorities were contacted.
