Excerpted stories in Crawford County newspaper archives 100 years ago Aug. 26, 1925 Considerable ground has been covered yesterday and today in his investigation of the conditions of law enforcement in Crawford County, especially as it applies to the prohibitory liquor law, William A. Smith, assistant attorney general, said today. Information being gathered by the state this week will supplement that collected during the four days of last week that the assistant attorney general was here. Like last week’s findings, the information will be placed in the hands of C. B. Griffith, attorney general, at Topeka.
