Euclid Ave., is the winner of the Ford touring car given as the prize for the contestant receiving the most votes in the sales voting contest of the Mid-Summer Sales Festival conducted by Pittsburg merchants, which closed yesterday afternoon. Miss Streeter with 1,129,400 votes led Mrs. Blanche Reno, adjutant of the Salvation Army, by 169,500 votes in the final count to receive the prize worth nearly $500. The police were today rounding up a band of boys believed to be responsible for a number of thefts covering a period of more than five months, and entailing loss of considerable money in loot taken.
