Excerpted stories in Crawford County newspaper archives 100 Years Ago Oct. 27, 1923 Between 20 and 25 passengers on a J. & P. interurban car in route from Pittsburg to Columbus shortly after 6 o’clock yesterday afternoon narrowly escaped possible injury or death. The car passed over a 50-foot section of track about a mile east of Chicopee probably less than two minutes before the roadbed caved in, leaving the track dangling.
