Excerpted stories in Crawford County newspaper archives 100 Years Ago Oct. 5, 1923 The first suit of its kind in the United States was brought at Fort Scott this morning when Kansas Atty. Gen. Charles B. Griffith filed in district court for an injunction restraining the Ku Klux Klan and others from parading in masks in Fort Scott or elsewhere in Kansas. The Klan has advertised a parade through Fort Scott tomorrow night as a feature of a big meeting planned at Gunn City Park today and tomorrow.
