Excerpted stories in Crawford County newspaper archives 100 Years Ago Aug. 19-21, 1923 Three masked bandits entered the W. H. Ozbun grocery store, 605 W. Fourth street, last night shortly after 8 o’clock and after holding up five persons there at the point of guns and rifling the cash registers of between $300 and $400, locked the five victims in the meat refrigerator and departed. Police last night believed that the men escaped in a motor car. The holdup was regarded as the most daring perpetrated here in years.
