‘Huge slice of funds to 20 officials’
50 years ago July 19, 1976 More than $50,000 a month in tax money subsidizes salaries of the 20 highest paid public officials in Crawford County. That adds up to approximately $600,000 annually, most of which goes to administrators at the Kansas State College of Pittsburg who constitute 75 percent of the top 20.
